Sandy Schembri, Associate Partner
Sandy Schembri is a recognized expert in energy policy and a trusted advisor to both federal and provincial governments. With extensive experience leading initiatives across hydrogen, nuclear, offshore wind, LNG, and electrification sectors, Sandy has been instrumental in shaping Canada's energy landscape. He has also been deeply involved in significant international projects, including the Canada-Germany Hydrogen Alliance. At NorthStar, Sandy will lead the firm’s growing energy practice and will split his time between Ottawa, Halifax, and Atlantic Canada.
Sabrina Grover, Senior Advisor
Sabrina Grover is an experienced political, advocacy, and communications professional with expertise in international development and global health/nutrition. She has been actively involved in political campaigns across Canada at all levels of government. A frequent commentator on CBC and CTV, Sabrina is a sought-after voice on political issues of the day. She will support NorthStar’s continued growth across various sectors and is based in Calgary, Alberta.
Fred DeLorey named NorthStar’s Chair and Chief Strategy Officer
NorthStar also announced that Fred DeLorey is assuming the role of Chair and Chief Strategy Officer, where he will lead the firm’s continued expansion across Canada, including in Calgary, Edmonton, Toronto, Ottawa, Halifax, and across Atlantic Canada. Fred brings a wealth of political experience, having served as the National Campaign Manager for the Conservative Party in the last election, Director of Political Operations for former Prime Minister Stephen Harper, and Director of Field Operations for Ontario Premier Doug Ford. With years of experience shaping campaigns, Fred has a deep understanding of how Canadian conservatives think and operate. He is a trusted advisor to senior political and business leaders nationwide and internationally, and his strategic acumen is helping clients secure the public policy outcomes they need. Fred also hosts an Ottawa-based podcast, On Background, and is a frequent contributor to political and public policy commentary, serving as the conservative voice every Friday on CBC’s Power & Politics.
