Laurel is a senior public affairs strategist who combines a formidable network across the federal government with sharp, investigative intelligence-gathering skills. With over a decade of experience spanning government, agency, NGO, and start-up sectors, she provides clients with a rare advantage: the ability to uncover critical insights and translate them into actionable political strategy.
Trained as a journalist, Laurel approaches government relations like an information operation. She leverages her investigative background to ask the right questions, map complex stakeholder networks, and anticipate how the current government sets priorities.
Coupled with her federal campaign experience and roots in the Liberal movement, Laurel has a first-hand understanding of how decisions are made behind closed doors and how the government responds to pressure.
Having served as a senior adviser to Canada’s Minister of Small Business, Export Promotion, and International Trade, Laurel knows exactly who to call when steering high-stake files. Since leaving government, she has led high-impact advocacy campaigns across a broad range of highly regulated sectors. She holds a Bachelor of Journalism from Carleton University and a Master of Science in Public Relations and Corporate Communications from New York University.
